Frequently Asked Questions

What is an Online Escape Room?

How many people can play?

Just like a real life Escape Room, our online versions are set with clues and puzzles to help you escape. The story depends on the scenario, but generally there are 8 - 12 puzzles to complete and everything you need is on our website. There's also no risk of being locked in!

Essentially, the number of players is unlimited. It depends how you want to play. You can play with people in your home, or use video software to share the experience across the internet with anybody, anywhere. We recommend having someone nominated to read things out, and navigate through the game.

How much does it cost?

How do I play with another household?

All of our Escape Rooms are priced per game not per player. That means if you're sharing the cost, the more players you have the less expensive it is per person. The games can be played as many times as you like within a month of purchase.

We recommend using software like Zoom, MS Teams or Skype to share your screen with other households. Make sure you check the "share computer sound" box to ensure everybody can hear. You could also share your log in details and people can play simultaneously along with you, agreeing on answers as you progress.

What equipment and software do I need to play?

How do I access the game?

The Escape Rooms are not suitable to play on a mobile device. If you're playing across households, your other team members can link in on a tablet or mobile.

We recommend using Google Chrome, Opera or Firefox as your browser when enjoying the games.

Once you have purchased a game or a bundle, you will be able to access it from the Play Online page. You will only be able to access games that you have purchased, and the access will be for a full month from the date of purchase.

Who are you?

Do the games have clues?

Some games such as Murder Investigation Team have a series of clues to nudge you in the right direction if you get stuck. Other games such as Grey Matter don’t have clues but if you can’t crack a certain puzzle you are able to click to get the answer and move on. Clues and answers are accessible from inside the game and don't worry there's no timer so you can take as long as you like.
